Why is the bottom leaking?

Because the water is too full. When the water capacity exceeds the maximum 1.7L the upper steam port is covered with water,and the water will flow to the bottom along the steam port,and finally flow from the gap.It is recommended not to exceed 1.7L.

Is the body of the kettle heat-proof?

The surface temperature of the kettle will rise when it is working. Therefore, please do not touch the body of the kettle while it is working and after the water is boiling. But the handle is heat resistant.

Why does limescale appear after use?
